Dutch music group La Luna will be performing at the Carnegie Arts Centre in Kenmare on Saturday, March 26th. With their soulful, enchanting and passionate songs, Holland’s number one worldpop band has been gathering an ever-growing audience across Europe. La Luna is known and appreciated for their delicate blend of musical styles, ranging from folk, pop, fado and jazz, to chanson and world music.
Accompanied by four acclaimed musicians – among whom saxophone player AndrĂ© van der Hoff – beautiful lead vocalist Helen Botman sings to her heart’s delight in as much as ten different languages. For their latest album, Harmoniepark, La Luna has been working with poets across Europe to set their work to music. Among them is Irish poet Mary O’Malley, who contributed to La Luna’s songs ‘Geis’ and ‘Lullaby’.
