This traditional stone farmhouse, built around 1900, has recently been completely restored to a high standard. It occupies a quiet and secluded location on the top of Collorus Harbour on the Beara Peninsula, and offers stunning views across the Kenmare River to the Macgillycuddy Reeks and Kilmakilloge Harbor. Collorus was the base of a British cost guard station in the 19th century.
It is a perfect romantic country retreat with ever changing sea and hill views. The seashore and beach for safe swimming are 200 meters from the house. From the living room, you can step onto the patio with a flower and herb garden, a built-in barbecue. The location is toddlers friendly. There is a second patio facing south at the back of the house with a bench and sun beds. Smoking is allowed on the patios. There is ample parking space. All front windows have a sea and mountain view. You can enjoy the spectacular views while cooking, dining, sitting by the fire, in bed or even lying in the bath! Ideal location for hill walking, swimming and fishing and touring.
